Contrary to the voter pamphlet. I DID submit a photo and statement. Still trying to get to the bottom of why it was not included. Here is the statement I submitted below:
My name is Anthony Bittner, running as a new generation of Republican. I am not a politician, not bought by special interests, but rather a statesman and citizen who will listen to you, not talk at you.
I am running to balance our State’s budget by offering fiscal solutions, not more complaints. My Agency Reduction Act, and business tax break proposals, will lower State spending of your money and get Washington on the road to recovery.
I support State’s rights, 2nd Amendment rights,Civil rights, Right to Life, and limited government intrusion. http://www.anthonybittner.com

Working hard on my fiscal solutions to balance the budget in Washington State! This “Agency Reduction” plan will
With the rest of the nation getting laid off, and pay cuts much deeper than 10% this plan is a reasonable solution to getting our budget balanced and back on track.
Getting a closer look at budgets in order to complete a plan with closer to real numbers to reveal after the primary.

With the announcements that Bob Dean and Shannon Barnett are no longer running, that leaves only 4 Republican candidates left in the race for the 18th legislative district.
I have raised more money than one of my competitors and only $900 less than another. In addition, I have almost twice as many Facebook fans as any of my competitors. My campaign is in an excellent position to win the election and pass the solutions I have been working on.
We are planning a fundraising event at the end of the month as well as a Facebook Fan fundraising push to help get the word out.
I have been busy finalizing my graduation requirements as well as working on legislation to address the growing fiscal problem in the state of Washington.
I plan to unveil my “Agency Reduction Act” by weeks end along with other legislative solutions.
I believe that complaining about the problem doesn’t solve anything. We can all agree there are challenges, and what the State needs are solutions.
Look for my legislative proposal by weeks end and encourage others to sign up for this blog to stay up to date on my policy plans.

As you know, I turned 18 on Saturday April 24th and went on Monday April 26th to register to vote. Clark County Auditor, Greg Kimsey personally presided over my registration and I walked out of the elections office an official voter. Not to mention, officially eligible to run for office!

Young Candidate Raises Almost $5000 in 40 Days
April 12, 2010 Vancouver, WA. Anthony Bittner, the youngest candidate in the US running for the State Legislature has announced he has raised $4760 in the 40 days since he announced his candidacy March 3rd.
All but $800 of his contributions were raised in the last 12 days alone, and of the $4760 about $700 is in the form of in-kind contributions.
Although his official campaign kick off was only 3 days ago on April 9th, he has managed to raise enough awareness virally about his platform to raise the money.
“I don’t think that raising the most money proves everything” commented Bittner, “But it does prove that I am a viable candidate and that people support what I stand for.”
What he stands for is transparent fiscal responsibility and accountability from the Washington State Government, reduction in tax rates for small business, and sovereignty of the State. All things that voters in the 18th district strongly support.
Anthony proved he has the gumption to stand up to anyone in the legislature in his address at the Cowlitz County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday.
Many have strongly criticized the leadership of the Cowlitz Republican Party for endorsing one of Anthony’s opponents long before the primary election, a practice highly frowned upon.
He boldly addressed the “800 pound gorilla in the room” by stating “I know the leadership of Cowlitz Republicans have endorsed a candidate. I am not here for your endorsement, I am here for your VOTE.” Drawing whoops and applause from those in attendance.
